People

I have had incredible backing and encouragement to run for National Office. The Board of Governors at the Country Club of Birmingham have written a comprehensive agreement to support these efforts. Our General Manager and Superintendent are in lockstep with me as well. Most importantly, my wife Kelli is up for the challenge and is equally excited as I am. Our children are at perfect age and my family is “all in.”

Family

Like most of us, my family is my everything. We work the hours we do to support the families we love. Golf has been a centerpiece for us. All of us play and still take golf trips as family vacations. We love it! Kelli and I have been married for 29 years and are blessed with 3 sons, 2 dogs, and 1 cat. Recently empty nesters, all three of our sons attend Auburn University. Ryan plays on the golf team, and our twins Heath and Joe have paved their ways too. Heath was on a state championship bowling team and Joe is an Eagle Scout.  Arnie and Winnie are our faithful companions and Skip the cat is a cat.

Friends

When it’s all said and done, we’re left with our relationships with family, friends, and our faith. I am so grateful for The PGA of America and all the relationships it’s given me over 3 decades. Becoming your next Secretary would be an extension of these and together, there are so many things we can accomplish.
