Business

Dear Mr. Eshleman,
I wanted to write you a quick note to say how much I am enjoying working at The Country Club of Birmingham. I am one of your outside service staff and after only a few short months of working with you and your team, it has inspired me to make a change and look into golf as a career. I have started the PGA Associates program with hopes of continuing my work in golf on a full-time basis. With my current situation, I am in no rush to find a full-time position and will continue my current schedule and duties at CCB. However, as you know, the associate program takes time and eventually will require me to hold a specific type of position to gain the experience necessary to become a PGA member. If CCB or anyone you may know has a job that would fit that criteria, I would love the opportunity.

Country Club of Birmingham

The Country Club of Birmingham just celebrated their 125th anniversary and I am honored to be the 5th golf professional in the Club’s history. It’s a vibrant club with two Donald Ross golf courses and 1,650 members. I was originally hired as the Director of Instruction in 2001, then I became the Director of golf in 2006. We have one of the largest junior golf programs in the country and golf across all ages is thriving.

Staff

Our busy operation requires a large staff. We have 6 PGA Members and 4 Associates working towards membership. Our motto is “work hard and have fun!”
